Dr. Chris Wenner is a clinical psychologist and avid cyclist who was paralyzed from a neck injury at the age of 17. After following Outrider for years, Dr. Wenner reached out in late 2013 with a proposal to collaborate on a project that would allow physically disabled adventurers, such as himself, the opportunity to ride a bike again.

Eager to fulfill Dr. Wenner’s dream and infuse deeper meaning into their work, the Outrider team accepted the challenge. Together, Chris and the company launched a crowdfunding campaign in March of 2014, raising over $120,000 to bring the Outrider Horizon to life.
