Outrider USA at No Barriers Summit 2015

No Barriers USA  is an organization dedicated to providing people of all ability levels the support and tools necessary to overcome physical limitations and conquer their greatest challenges. Their mission is: “...to unleash the potential of the human spirit.  Through transformative experiences, tools and inspiration, we help people embark on a quest to contribute their absolute best to the world.  In the process, we foster a community of curious, brave and collaborative explorers who are determined to live the No Barriers Life.” The Summit occurs once a year and is an opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to come together for a long weekend filled with hands-on clinics, product demonstrations, outdoor excursions, films, art, keynote address, leadership exercises, symposia...and the Horizon!

This year, the No Barriers Summit will be held in Park City, UT at the Canyons Resort on July 9-12. The Summit will consist of dozens of educational, athletic, and artistic clinics such as rock climbing, kayaking, mountain and road biking, painting, and scuba diving. The goal of these clinics is to encourage individuals to try new things and to move outside of their comfort zone in a supportive and encouraging environment. The majority of the clinics will be run by adaptive sports centers, art organizations, and individuals who have many years of experience working with people with disabilities of all kinds. Additionally, there will be several presenters including six-time Olympic Gold Medalist Amy Van Dyken-Rouen, painter John Bramblitt, and jazz singer and songwriter Mandy Harvey, who will share inspiring stories of how they overcame adversity and physical limitations to achieve greatness.
