Outrider USA at No Barriers Summit 2015

No Barriers USA  is an organization dedicated to providing people of all ability levels the support and tools necessary to overcome physical limitations and conquer their greatest challenges. Their mission is: “...to unleash the potential of the human spirit.  Through transformative experiences, tools and inspiration, we help people embark on a quest to contribute their absolute best to the world.  In the process, we foster a community of curious, brave and collaborative explorers who are determined to live the No Barriers Life.” The Summit occurs once a year and is an opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to come together for a long weekend filled with hands-on clinics, product demonstrations, outdoor excursions, films, art, keynote address, leadership exercises, symposia...and the Horizon!

This year, the No Barriers Summit will be held in Park City, UT at the Canyons Resort on July 9-12. The Summit will consist of dozens of educational, athletic, and artistic clinics such as rock climbing, kayaking, mountain and road biking, painting, and scuba diving. The goal of these clinics is to encourage individuals to try new things and to move outside of their comfort zone in a supportive and encouraging environment. The majority of the clinics will be run by adaptive sports centers, art organizations, and individuals who have many years of experience working with people with disabilities of all kinds. Some of these organizations include Adaptive Adventures, Adaptive Sports Center and the National Abilities Center. You can see a full list of the clinics here.

Additionally, there will be several presenters including six-time Olympic Gold Medalist Amy Van Dyken-Rouen, painter John Bramblitt, and jazz singer and songwriter Mandy Harvey, who will share inspiring stories of how they overcame adversity and physical limitations to achieve greatness. You can see a full list of the presenters and entertainers here.

Registration is still open, so if you are interested in attending this event, click here. If you are already planning to attend please let us know by commenting on this post or emailing nikki@outriderusa.com We would love to see you!

We will be documenting every step of the way beginning bright and early on July 7th when we load up the Horizons and hit the road, until we pull back into the shop the following week.

Outrider USA is honored to be a part of this event and thankful for the opportunity to share the Horizon with the No Barriers community. Thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope you stay tuned!

I just wanted to tell you guys at outrider that I was lucky enough to see the bike in person yesterday and all I have to say is damn I want one! I will be putting my order in in the next couple weeks and I can barely contain myself from the excitement! and I also have to talk about the people in your company that you sent to the no barriers summit in Park City. what an amazing bunch of people! I instantly fell like I had been friends with them for years! so from what I gathered from my trip to Park City was that outrider has a team of amazing amazing people working for them on a bike that is amazing in itself and I can’t wait to get my hands on one! I wish every company in America took as much pride in their products as outrider does!
